            Vande Mataram is the national song of India. The song was written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee 7th November, 1875. The poem was first sung by Rabindranath Tagore in 1896. On 24 January 1950, the Constituent Assembly of India has adopted "Vande Mataram" as national song.
